Woman sues Walmart after it refuses to give paid sick leave for "vaccine injury"

PORTLAND, ME – A Portland woman is taking her employer to court after it refused to pay her for extended sick leave after she suffered what she claims is a serious vaccine injury.

Margaret Hickey, 42, got her annual flu vaccine this year at a local vaccination clinic and then only days later read numerous articles on Natural News and Whale.to about the dangers of the flu vaccine. It was then that she started having symptoms of a vaccine injury.

“As soon as I read those articles about how dangerous the flu vaccine is I started to get really sick,” explains Hickey. “I started having chronic pain, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, lethargic and I’m pretty sure I am on the autism spectrum now too.”

Hickey submitted her claim for long-term disability (which would pay her full salary for up to two year) to her employer, Walmart, only to have it rejected.

“There is insufficient evidence to provide Ms. Hickey with long-term disability coverage at this time,” her letter read.

Hickey is suing Walmart for $4 million and is also hoping to get a large settlement from the “Vaccine Court” as soon as she perfects her entry in the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System.

Reports indicate that Hickey is currently looking for a chiropractor, naturopath or homeopath to back up her claim.
