Pfizer employee making thermometers out of leftover vaccines, selling fast on Etsy

NEW YORK, NY – A new must-have for arts and crafts lovers this Christmas is a vaccine thermometer currently flying off the proverbial shelf on the arts and crafts website, Etsy. The thermometers are made by Karen Donovan, a lab technoloist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where she works in the vaccine division.

“We have lots of left over, unused stockpiles of vaccines, especially flushots,” explained Donovan. “The high amount of mercury in the vaccine makes them perfect for thermometers. I just take the leftover flushots from previous years and turn them into cool, artsy home thermometers.”

Donovan is unable to keep up with the demand and some people are saying they are the most accurate thermometers on the market. However, the new product is not without controversy. There have been some reports of people dropping the thermometers at home and the contents spilling out.

“We have read several reports of people dropping and breaking the vaccine-o-meters,” said Anne Dachel from Age of Autism. “Several of these accidents happened in homes with children, and now after being exposed to the leaked vaccines, they have developed autism.”

The FDA and CDC are not commenting on the situation, but say they are looking into the situation and expect to buy study results showing everything is fine within the next year.
