Many anti-vaccine and anti-science members love to go on about the “Theory of Evolution” and how it can’t possibly be true since it is only a theory. Nathan Simms, a young earth creationist, took it a step further; he plans on testing everything that is only a “theory”.
First up: The Theory of Gravity. Technically gravity is a law (only Universal Gravity is a theory, not a fact, regarding the natural law of attraction). That didn’t stop Simms however.
“I’m so sick of people, scientists, putting so much stock into things that are only theories: evolution, germ theory, gravity, everything. I’m going to debunk all of them.”
Unfortunately this is a short story, as Simms chose to test gravity first. He went to an abandoned quarry outside his home town of Hamm, Kentucky and jumped off a nearly 90 foot high cliff. Sadly, Simms lost his life and met his maker at the bottom of the quarry. Coroners believe Simms may have actually passed out before he hit the ground, but they say that is just a theory at this point.
