New York City, 2049 – It has been 17 years since the last vaccine was administered to Danny Turner, now 24 years old and one of the few humans on the planet without a vaccine preventable disease. In the years since the anti-vaccine movement was successful and vaccines abolished from the planet, we have seen a huge rise in formerly vaccine-preventable diseases. The average lifespan in the United States is now 57 and people who have measles, rubella, diphtheria or polio are no longer admitted to hospitals since modern medicine has also been abolished in favor of natural medicine.
The Big Natural companies who control all the natural health supplements and detox plans in the world had a record year in 2048, with revenues totaling over 22 trillion dollars. Medical schools which used to turn out well educated medical doctors, have all been replaced with online universities who seemingly grant anyone with enough money a degree as either a naturpathic, homeopathic or chiropractic doctor. Truly great times to be a natural healer.
Of course, there are still fringe groups who try and push things like antibiotics, anesthesia and anti-viral medications but they are certainly the minority.
Apart from the world’s population being mostly ill, a record 65% of people on the planet are considered “hungry” as the organic food supply is not substantial enough to feed everyone on the planet. However, brighter days appear to be ahead as the world’s population continues to plummet due to starvation and disease.
Travel has also become somewhat of a problem since the anti-chemtrail bill was passed and all air travel deemed illegal. In the intervening years, no one seemed to be able to engineer an airplane which did not produce con/chemtrails and so the design would not be allowed into production.
So yes, the population has become deathly ill with numerous uncontrolled outbreaks of disease and famine but hey, autism rates are way down (especially since the government stopped “testing” children for it after the rates continued to increase in the first 10 years of no vaccines).
