Local man Gary Dierik is touting his victory over cancer as a miracle and crediting his use of essential oils.
“Once I had the tumor surgically removed, I started on a heavy dose of essential oils and I’ve never felt better,” explained Gary. “It truly is a miracle.”
Doctors, however, are crediting the surgery as the reason for his turnaround.
“We tend to see improvement in patients after the tumor removal surgery,” explained Dr. Hector Santiago. “What the patient does after the surgery can certainly help, but not to the extent many people who use alternative medicine think.”
Many alternative medicine advocates are dismissive of Dr. Santiago’s claims, instead giving credit to things like essential oils and aligning ones chakras.
“Of course Big Pharma doctors are going to say surgically removing the tumor is why the tumor is no longer in his body” said essential oil store owner Susan Hutchings. “That’s what they’ve been brainwashed to say.”
