TORONTO, ON – Area man Fred Hoffman is outraged that Canadians will be fronting the brunt of the healthcare bill for refugees coming in from Syria.
“This is absolutely ridiculous! Why should Canadian tax payers pay for some foreigners healthcare costs?” said an angry Hoffman.
Fred Hoffman as it turns out, hasn’t paid income tax in his entire adult life. Mr. Hoffman has always either been beneath the personal exemption limit for paying income tax or, when he owned a business, set it up outside of Canada to avoid paying taxes.
The Spudd Times has also learned that Hoffman visited a Canadian hospital at least 6 times a year for the last ten years.
“That’s my right as a Canadian – to get free health care. It’s not the right of some foreigner coming here to take advantage of our system,” explained Hoffman, whose grandparents are both immigrants.
As of right now, Hoffman plans on setting up an organization and collecting money to oppose the government using tax dollars to fund refugee healthcare. Hoffman stated that he will most likely set up the organization as a charity to avoid paying taxes.
