CHICAGO, IL – At a recent dinner party in Aurora, Illinois (an excellent suburb of Chicago) all the guests were enjoying the evening getting to know one another, when newcomer Janet Therrault introduced herself as “doctor”. When asked which hospital she worked at, she replied “I run my own clinic” and when asked what specialty she practices, she claims to be a “GP”. Janet also managed to expertly dodge the question of “where did you go to school?” by answering, “here in Chicago”.
“It was a little touch and go there for awhile, everyone kept asking me questions about my career,” explained Therrault. “I was even more worried someone would ask me some real medical questions, then I would be really screwed.”
Therrault explained her saving grace was when one of the party guests introduced her new boyfriend and revealed he was a homeopath.
“Thank God for that Dana guy,” said Therrault. “As soon as he said he was a homeopath, everyone stopped talking about medicine altogether for fear he would start talking about magic water.”
