LOUISVILLE, KY – Female doctors all over the country are confusing patients by not making it clear that they are in fact doctors, and NOT nurses. One patient at Louisville General Hospital, Frank Parsons, recounted his harrowing story to The Spudd Times:
“I was in for liver surgery and this woman came in and just starting talking about how the surgery was going to go, telling me all sorts of important medical stuff. I wasn’t really paying attention since I was waiting for the male surgeon to come in and explain it all to me. I really feel like it should have been made much more obvious that she was a surgeon and not a nurse. I felt like I missed out on a bunch of information about my surgery because of this.”
Mr. Parsons is now suing the hospital and Dr. Christina Grey for pain and suffering.
“No one should have to go through what I went through,” explained Mr. Parsons.
Many Americans are supportive of Mr. Parsons and are joining in the fight to have female doctors make it clear they are not nurses.
