TAMPA, FL – Local Aunt and design show superfan Betty Greer was largely ignored at her family reunion last week in Tampa, Florida. Greer, 42, has never married and never had children, but is staunchly opposed to childhood vaccines and advocates for the parents right to choose whether to vaccinate or not. She is also deeply into natural health and avoids any and all drugs from big pharma, instead relying on crystal healing and homeopathy.
So it was of no surprise when she went largely ignored at her most recent family reunion this past week.
“I tried to talk to people about the dangers of pharmaceuticals and the positive results I am having from my crystals and it’s like no one wanted to hear it” explained Greer. “It’s like the family members were warned ahead of time not to talk to ‘crazy aunt Betty’ (laughs).”
Mark Greer, organizer of the Greer family reunion, confirmed to The Spudd that he did indeed warn a few of the family members about Betty.
“I just told people to make sure they didn’t get stuck in a conversation alone with aunt Betty, especially after she has had a few glasses of wine” said Mark.
Overall, Betty said she still had a great time at the reunion and is looking forward to the next one. In the meantime she is trying to contact the few family members she did managed to have a conversation with – but so far all of the emails she has sent have bounced back.
