SNL cast members quarantined after Ebola case in NYC

News broke yesterday of a doctor from New York City testing positive for the Ebola virus after returning from Westrern Africa. Dr. Craig Spencer returned from a mission with Doctors Without Borders and is currently in isolation at Bellevue Hospital in New York City.

Earlier this week Dr. Spencer had gone to a bowling ally and several members of the cast of Saturday Night Live were also there bowling. Vanessa Bayer, Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan have all been ordered to quarantine themselves for 21 days and monitor themselves for symptoms. They will not be appearing on the next three episodes of the live show. However, Lorne Michaels said there is the possibility that the three of them may be able to film skits in their NYC apartments and email them to producers of the show.

“Luckily we have been doing some skits about Ebola and have picked up some pretty useful infection control practices and know what to do,” said Michaels. “We were actually working on a skit about a man with Ebola in NYC, but we will probably pull it due to the circumstances.”
