Anti-vaccine groups collectively spent over $10 million in 2014

NEW YORK, NY – A recent study published in the British Medical Journal estimates that anti-vaccine groups spent over $10 million in 2014 on propaganda, marketing and “research” into how vaccines are evil.

“It’s really quite remarkable…and sad” said co-principal investigator Dr. Alex Karev. “It’s really terrible that they collectively spent that much money on spreading misinformation and pseudoscience.”

For comparison purposes, the authors of the study listed what $10 million could have (and should have) been used for instead:

  1. Helping countless families who are affected by autism
  2. Sent 1 million mosquito nets to Africa to stop the spread of malaria
  3. Bought 10 million doses of the polio vaccine
  4. Funded autism research
  5. Given over half a million children immunity to measles, mumps and rubella
  6. Built a clean water well in over 800 African communities
  7. ANYTHING ELSE

Naturally, the anti-vaccine groups are blaming Big Pharma and the medical industrial complex. “If they didn’t continually poison us with vaccines, we wouldn’t have to spend all this money,” said Joseph Mercola, salesman. “But then again, I also wouldn’t have a mansion.”
