TORONTO – Professor Jordan Peterson is in hot water again after refusing to call students by their preferred names.
“I’m sorry, but if you were born Gregory, that’s what I’m going to call you, not Greg,” explained Peterson. “In today’s society it seems anyone can call themselves anything and I had to draw the line somewhere.”
Students put forth a complaint to the Dean chronicling the issues with Dr. Peterson and his stubbornness regarding students names.
“I told him I went by Mike and not Michael and he launched into a tirade about how Michael was my God given name at birth and I can’t just decide to change it,” explained student Michael “Mike” Harrington.
There were several similar stories from students named Stephanie, Benjamin, David and Joseph.
“I don’t get what the big deal is, I just prefer to be called Dave.”
