A new study out today in the Journal of Adolescent Health and Crawling compared the average age at which vaccinated and unvaccinated children begin to crawl. The study concluded that unvaccinated children, while much less healthy, were also 70% more likely to begin crawling at an earlier age.
“We noted that almost all of the unvaccinated children who had learned to crawl were all crawling away from their parents and were trying to head for an exit from the home,” explained scientist Dr. Matthew Zalapski. “The vaccinated children, by comparison, all crawled towards their parents.”
While many anti-vaccine parents tout their children as much healthier than their vaccinated peers, it appears as though some of the early development noted in unvaccinated children is a natural way for the brain to sense danger.
“These children who were trying to crawl away from their parents and their homes all had significantly more activity in the fear and primal based regions of the brain,” explained neurologist Dr. Gary Furlong. “We concluded that these children sensed the dangers of remaining with their current family and were instinctively trying to escape.”
Anti-vaccine advocates are dismissing the findings of the study and merely cherry-picking the parts which say unvaccinated children began crawling earlier.
