DENVER, CO – Residents of the great state of Colorado, the state with one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country, is constantly fighting an uphill battle against measles, mumps and whooping cough outbreaks.

As everyone in the anti-vaccine community knows, better sanitation is what caused all of these diseases to become a thing of the past in every other state, country, etc.

“Clearly Colorado is behind the rest of the country when it comes to sanitation,” said Rebecca Johnson, anti-vaccine science denier. “This can be the only explanation for their high rates of these childhood diseases.”

On the contrary, more rational, science literate people believe that the low vaccination rates are what is responsible.

“Colorado has just as good if not better sanitation than the rest of the country,” said pharma shill Kavin Orac. “The only thing that is different in Colorado is their extremely low rate of childhood vaccination coverage.”

Anti-vaccers are holding steadfast in their stance that there must be something wrong with Colorado’s sanitation and water treatment system.

“We’ve seen it a hundred times, with every disease. As soon as sanitation is improved (which usually happens right around the same time as a vaccine is introduced, oddly enough), we see the rates of diseases plummet” explains Johnson. “Check mate vaccine Nazis.”
