Pediatrician quits practice, opens online supplement store to make more money

NEW YORK, NY – Dr. Patricia Egan has been practicing medicine for nearly 10 years as a pediatrician in New York City. But with two small children at home and the cost of living in the city getting out of control, she decided to quit her practice. She will soon be opening her own online supplement store and launching her own line of “natural” health products.

“To be honest, it’s all about the money,” explains Egan. “I can make a lot more money in the supplement business than I ever could as a pediatrician.”

Pediatricians are some of the lowest paid physicians in North America, while at the same time the alternative and supplement business in North America is booming, making over 35 billion dollars in 2014 alone.

“I’m thinking of writing a book as well, something about living natural or some crap like that. I’ll just add a bunch of buzz words to the title like “natural”, “paleo”, “chemical-free”, “gluten”, “GMOs”, any of those. People eat that stuff up” said Dr. Egan.

Dr. Egan’s line of all natural, gluten and GMO free supplements should be available through her website this spring.
