A new study is set to get underway at the University of Rhesus in New York City which will examine the link between human brain size and belief in conspiracy theories. The study protocols suggest the subjects will have their brains measured and evaluated via MRI and then be subjected to numerous questions surrounding health, medicine, and conspiracies.
“The goal is to see if there is any association between physical brain size, brain capacity and the belief in outlandish conspiracy theories such as population control, chemtrails, Big Pharma conspiracies, etc,” explains Dr. Zaius, lead author of the study.
“We may also electrocute the subjects, subject them to sleep and sensory deprivation or withhold food. Not that it has anything to do with our research, but just to give them a taste of what they do to us.”
However, not all monkeys are in favour of the research. Some human rights activists are protesting the study, calling for Dr. Zaius to put end to the unethical treatment of humans.
“I think it’s disgusting what they do to those poor humans,” says an outraged Dr. Zira, an animal psychologist. “It’s completely unethical.”
The study is set to begin phase 1 in the next few weeks, although recruitment has been an issue.
