BOSTON, MA – A prominent MIT researcher, Dr. Michael Doyle, has completed a breakthrough mathematical formula to determine how many IQ points are lost per minute of reading anti-vaccine rhetoric online.
“I have been working on this for years and unfortunately I had to read a lot of anti-vaccine blogs for my research and hence was losing IQ points along the way,” explained Dr. Doyle. “Fortunately I was also able to discover a counter-formula for gaining back IQ points from reading credible research.”
The formula can be expressed as a LOGIT formula using logistic regression:
In the formula above, E(Yi)=pi implies that the Expected Value of (Yi) equals the probability that Yi=1. The beta (β) coefficient represents the number of IQ points lost per X minutes spent reading an anti-vaccine article.
“The equation is actually quite simple when we express it a logistic regression equation,” explains Dr. Doyle. “For every 5 minutes reading an anti-vaccine article, one will lose the log value of 5 IQ points, which in this case is approximately 0.699.”
Dr. Doyle is urging everyone to monitor the amount of time they spend reading anti-vaccine bullshit on the internet and to make sure you read science-based articles afterwards to restore your lost IQ points.
