Gwyneth Paltrow is best know for acting, marrying Chris Martin, and being completely out of touch with reality. Paltrow is often on tv and the web touting her wares on her website, Goop, which she claims is for the average American. That is if the average American is a millionaire.
Recently, Paltrow has turned her attention to fighting against Monsanto and GMOs. Like many celebrities who take up causes which have a scientific component to them, she has only a very rudimentary understanding of the science of GMOs, if any at all.
She announced on Facebook that she would be traveling to DC to speak with members of the senate to try and convince them not to sign a new bill. The bill would allow companies like Monsanto to get away with not labeling their horrible and dangerous frakenfoods.
What is possibly even more outlandish is what Paltrow asked her fans to do:
Once again it seems that ‘ol Gwyneth is completely out of touch which what the “average American” can afford to spend on things like this. Paltrow seems equally out of touch on what exactly a GMO is, how many pesticides are also used on organic crops, and what people are willing to spend on rattles.
