Drugging kids with medication still best way to get through long trips

The CDC announced today that after two more years of research, giving small children cough medicine and Gravol is still the best way for parents to make in through a long trip.

“While we certainly would not recommend giving children more than the recommended dosage, it is still a great way to get your kids to relax and sleep on a plane” said the CDC’s Dr. Daniel Ryan. “When I go on trips with my family, I even give some to my wife.”

Some parents opt for a more natural approach of cuddling and bringing along lots of books or even an iPad, but all of those pale by comparison to good old fashioned drugs.

“I brought my iPad with the Frozen movie on it and a bunch of snacks for our flight to Florida” said area mom Barbara Dempsey. “But that only lasted about an hour, then it was just three more hours of complete hell.”

Other moms are completely against the practice and believe that a crying child is a natural child. “Why would I give my kids any Big Pharma drugs?” said natural mom Sarah Wrett. “If I don’t give them vaccines, I’m sure as hell not going to give them Gravol or cough medicine…even if they need it.”
