Anti-vaccine advocates have higher rates of allergies, study finds

BOSTON, MA – A new study from Harvard University was published today in the Lancet concerning allergies in the anti-vaccine community. The study concluded that people who are anti-vaccine have significantly higher rates of allergies to facts, science and math.

“We looked at two groups: pro-vaccine and anti-vaccine, and then examined their medical records to compare the prevalence of allergies in each group,” said lead researcher Dr. Alec Korev. “We found that the anti-vaccine group had much higher rates of allergies to facts, science and math compared to the pro-vaccine cohort.”

Anti-vaccine members are arguing that the study was unscientific and that it was funded by Big Pharma, even though it wasn’t.

“Harvard University has affiliations with hospitals, and those hospitals used drugs from Big Pharma, therefor nothing from Harvard can be trusted,” said Joe Gooding, anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist. “The proper way to do a study is to set up an internet questionnaire on an anti-vaccine website.”

The study will be available to the public in early March.
