ATLANTA, GA – Health article commenters the world over are jumping for joy after the announcement that a new medical licensing board is being developed: The American Academy of Internet Doctors.
Similar to the education that homeopaths and naturopaths must complete to be called “doctors”, internet doctors must also do “research” and not pass any standardized licensing exams.
“Basically if you claim to have done enough research on the internet and read enough articles from anti-vaccine, conspiracy theory websites, you can qualify to be an official Internet Doctor,” explained Dr. Gill McKeith, ID.
The governing body will require applicants to fill out a form on their website entering in how many hours of research they have completed on the internet. As long as their credit card payment of $499 is approved, they will receive their certification in the mail.
