Airline to start checking vaccination status before allowing passengers on international flights

Air Canada, the largest airline in Canada, will beginning looking at passengers vaccination status before allowing them on international flights.

“There are a lot of unvaccinated people out there, and we don’t want them on our planes or traveling the globe spreading their germs” said Air Canada President Charles Yager. “We think this may help stop the spread of both vaccine preventable diseases, and the anti-vaccine ideology as well.”

The anti-vaccine zealots are of course outraged, claiming this is violation of some kind of right.

“This is discrimination” said Dr. George Grant, naturopath and anti-vaccine proponent. “If I want to take my unvaccinated family to somewhere that has a measles, diphtheria or polio outbreak that is my business. No one has the right to tell me and mine what we can and can’t do when it comes to contracting and spreading diseases.”

Anti-vaccers have set up a change.org petition in hopes of getting Air Canada to rethink their new policy. An Air Canada spokesman said those petitions rarely do anything and that it will never fly.
